The \"3rd Meeting with the Sector\" event, organized by the Bursa Uluda\u011f University Construction Community, was held at the Civil Engineering Department building.\n\nThe event brought together leading companies and professionals from the sector with the students.\n\nThis year, the Konut ve Yap\u0131 Newspaper took on the media sponsorship for the \"Meeting with the Sector\" event once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the 3rd Meeting with the Sector event, many construction and architecture companies, ranging from coastal and port engineering to architecture, held seminars, workshops, and educational ateliers.\n\n\u00c7a\u011fda\u015f Aky\u0131ld\u0131z, President of the BUU Construction Community, delivered the opening speech of the event and stated: \u201cOur goal in organizing this event is to take correct and solid steps towards the future.\u201d\n\nExpressing their wish to continue the event perpetually, President Aky\u0131ld\u0131z concluded by saying: \u201cI hope we continue to organize this event for years with the vision of 'Constructing My Future' (Gelece\u011fimin \u0130n\u015faas\u0131).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Ahmet Talha Gezgin, the UYAP Community Advisor, stated:\n\n\u201cThe most fundamental goal of the Community with this event is to introduce the sector to the students as effectively as possible. Technical knowledge is truly invaluable for civil engineering. However, technical knowledge is not sufficient to properly execute this profession. It is essential to gain a close understanding of the sector and its specific needs. For this reason, events like this are extremely valuable for our students.\n\nCivil engineering is a critically important profession. It is, in essence, the engineering of civilization. Therefore, let us keep our vision broad. Instead of focusing narrowly on a single path, we must strive to develop ourselves across the various fields of civil engineering.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, Dr. Serkan Sa\u011f\u0131ro\u011flu, the Deputy Head of the Civil Engineering Department, thanked everyone who participated.\n\nSerdar Atilla Erdem, President of the Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO), stated that these events are highly important for both young professionals and prospective professionals in the sector. Erdem said:\n\n\u201cThe foundation of your professional life is laid here. The Construction Community is trying to tackle a very difficult task. We consider every effort they make to be of high quality. And, as the IMO Bursa Branch, we thank them. Civil engineering is a profession of civilization. It is a profession that builds up (develops) our city and our country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0130pek Bilgili Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m, Member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Architects, stated that she participated in the event as both an architect and an engineer, saying:\n\n\u201cArchitects and engineers are like flesh and nail (inseparable). Organizations like this are extremely valuable. I am also particularly excited because I was involved in the design of the building we are currently in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the opening speeches, the first session featured Muhammed Adilo\u011flu, Chairman of the Board of Adilo\u011flu Group, who delivered his presentation titled \"Problems Lying Beneath the Concrete.\"\n\nAs part of the event, Dr. Serkan Sa\u011f\u0131ro\u011flu, Lecturer, presented on \"Academy and Sector,\" and Tuba \u00dcner from Mahara Konsept gave a presentation titled \"Journey to Design: From Dream to Reality.\"\n\nFollowing the panel discussion, \"Let's Get to Know Coastal and Port Engineering,\" which included the participation of Hamit Parlak (Structural Design Manager at Denar), Erdo\u011fan Durgun (General Coordinator at G\u00fc\u00e7len \u0130n\u015faat), and Prof. Dr. Adem Akp\u0131nar, M\u00fcr\u015fit \u00dczmez, Chairman of the Board of Berra Yap\u0131 Kimyasallar\u0131, held a talk titled \"What is Insulation and Why is it Vital?\"\n\nThe program concluded with a talk titled \"The First 5 Years in Engineering,\" featuring the participation of alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
